Basic Education Africa (BEAfrica) is a Non-Profit organisation limited by guarantee. The main aim of the organisation is to work towards advocating for and ensuring that every child across sub-Saharan Africa is enabled to have access to quality basic education as set out in the UN Millennium Development Goals and stipulated in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child.
BEAfrica was established in 2013 in response to difficulties and barriers experienced by children in Nigeria and Africa in accessing quality basic education. BEAfrica aims to be a grass-root body that would work towards raising awareness and promoting the importance of education to different communities across Nigeria and Africa, as well as ensuring that basic education is standardised on the continent, to ensure that every child is not just in school but also getting the best education.
BEAfrica would work in partnership with other bodies to ensure that the quality of basic education is improved and the numbers of children accessing education is increased. BEAfrica is also committed to advocating for the girl-child’s access to basic education.
